Sadly, avatars cannot be resized at this time.  You can click on someone's avatar to view their public profile and view a larger version of their avatar.
If you want to give your message posts a little more personality, you can check out signatures.

Thats a shame paul...because of my shortsightedness I can hardly see the av"s I cant wait till there back to normal size... then I may choose one..
