JVC RC-M90

Hi everyone,
First time on the site, great info.
I was cleaning up my basement and found an old friend, my RC-M90. I received it as a hs graduation gift in '83. Sounded so great. Sadly one the 8" speakers was damaged 3 months later when it was delivered to me at college. Even at half strength this was a monster. I need some advice on how to prepare it for sale. I carefully dusted it off, and did some light cleaning w water. Any products to recommend for a little more aggresive cleaning?
Any help would be appreciated.

Here are some photos. What do you think caused the discoloration on the top of the deck and near the microphone (2nd photo)? It was covered with dust and somewhat grimey, but it clean up pretty well. Tape works, radio not so much. Volume knob are pretty scratchy.

Congrats on your find Pipe64, even with all the blemishes this unit still looks great most m90's have the top aluminum trim damaged and your looks in great shape,
hope you keep it since is one of the grails for any boombox collector.

Nice find...Is it the woofer that's damaged? There are places online that can repair blown or damaged woofers.

A thorough clean, inside & out & it'll be fantastic. Also a fair chance the radio will return as well, as it could be one of the switches is dirty enought to have stopped working properly.

Nice find
