want to know the difference please

bendycat - 2011-07-03 15:23

So what is the difference between

767 - 777 - 909 - 919 - 999 - 1000 (am i missing any ?)

also i guess the 718 - 525 - 555 (i guess there are more) all are roughly the same just different spec and slight diff design - was it just like cars with different specs but all the same car in the long run ?

cheers B

the 767 has fewer buttons/switches/functions/is slightly smaller etc than the 777, its a model down, the others i think are variations on the 777 for different domestic markets, not 100% sure though - gettoman will know.  hes got onions for eyes that bloke

either way the 767 and 777 were available in the uk and are essentially 2 different models that look similar.

now post a pic of this 777 + some sick BMXage!

bendycat - 2011-07-03 17:25

will stick a couple of pictures of boxes and bmx's to blow yer load over mate lol

just been doing a bit of reading and the 777 came first and then a year later the 767 with just lest bits on it

now the confusing part is seeing and reading that the 777Z had 90W - 777E has 24W but the 777H has pictures and write ups say 24W's and 90W's ?

so if the thoery is correct 777 and 767 is UK - 909 and 919 is jap and 999 + 1000 is a later year (or earlier) but each model has a lesser later copy ? hence slight change in model numbers ? or am i way off ?

Hi bendy....first of congrats on your 777 lad....even though the price was a bit steep lol

There all the same power regardless of what is stated....they use the same amps....the 1000 seen in my av (click on av for bigger picture) is my favorite and it does sound slightly better than a 777...not much....i had a 777 so i know (i sold mine to ghettoman)

and also the 1000 is the top of the line only sold in japan...but im not sure when it was made....eather way there all nice units that includes the 767....the 767 had no bass controls on the woofers and only one vu....the 1000 999 have the biggest vu's of them all...no my 1000 is not for sale lol

radio.raheem - 2011-07-03 18:04

Ohh yea the 555 sounds nothing like a 777 it's garbage....one other thing the 1000 999 919 have jap lettering(not english like the 777)

Bendy cat. i owned all of 777 family and sold them unfortunately due to financial trouble....i owned the 767, 909, 919, 999 1000....but only stayed with my 777 i had since 1985.....well i know pretty much about them inside and out cause i restored them a bit on all of them i owned,... they are all unique in its own way and its why i got them all.....well lets start with the 767...though it has less features than its other brothers....it has features and colors that put its apart from the rest and shares something from its counterpart brothers from japan....it shares the blue grill covers of the 999, and the 1000...it also shares knobs from the 999, and 1000 as well....it also had a similar shade as the 1000 in the tuner area....also has a unique APSS lit up indicator...the tape deck lids are tinted that none of the other 777 type brothers have....i call the 767 the prototype 777 of the its family....oh and only has one view meter....now the 919 the japanese version is similar to the 777 except it has super woofer in blue letters instead of the graphics the 777 has...the 909 is similar to the 999 in color scheme....in the speaker area...but the same features as the 919 and back cover of the 909, 767 777....the 999 is similar features to the 1000 but shares larger stick buttons that are used on the 767....and wide eyed vu meters than the 919 and 777 and has an electronic echo instead of spring...the 1000 has the electronic echo and has it all of course and its unique as well.....larger search program...11 instead of 7.....also has unique tape deck lids....chrome caps on all fours....no filters on the mids...white speakers....tape deck speed also on the 999 as well....blue grills same on the 999....and brown back cover and handle the same on the, 999 also on the 1000 shares some of the round knobs on the 767.....they are other minor differences....in each...hope this helps.....and of course they are other rare ones like the promotional Toyota sharp one thats similar to the 909 but with a Toyota badge instead of sharp.....annnnd the regional 777's is what i call them with the letter difference at the end and believe one of them has a black tuner instead of blue of the 777z its the 777H or E.. if im not mistaken...

cheers guys

so what is the difference in power in the Z - H - E ? which is 90 and which is 24 ?

:::::

The Machine might have been expensive on ebay, but that was not what i paid for it !  in fact no money changed hands, it was goods that i had and Paul was very happy with the exchange - the goods i had, i collected over a good couple of years and for free - now what money Paul gets for them is not a single worry to me and i hope he does well  we both came to a price of goods that matched each other and i didn't need them in the end, now have some thing i wanted for a long time - so he gets the goods and in exchange for some thing he got cheap - i get a 777 for free - now that can't be a bad deal

cheers B

Totally sweet bendy that's nice to here....there is no differance in power between the 24w and 90w ones bendy I swear lad.....its partly bull and basically both units run on a different voltage so that acount's for it......eg i have a jvc pc55 and a jvc 550 (the same machine) one is rated at 90w (from canada) the other is half that from uk....and gues what head to head there the same power....same as any veriant of m90 or any other box....there all the same.....trust me lad i have been in this hobby for donkys years (more than most) and it's a fact.... there is NO differance...

I have the 777z which I know is common, and I'm always reading that the 777E is better made. How much better can it have been made if they share nearly all the same components?

Bendy', interested as to what the sale price of your box was, and what was swapped/exchanged in the final deal ?? . . . You don't have to tell of course, I probably wouldn't!

Good thread this but it was a bit of a number and letter overload, I need a lie down now (whale sounds on the 777 to chill me out . . . ha ha)
