iv bought quite a bit from germany...shipping is usually done with DHL and cost around 30 euro`s to UK for a B Box

lav.loo - 2011-07-07 09:26

that,s a nice looking clean box BISON, does,nt look like a sharp though, ebay uk is crap compared with overseas

ghettoman - 2011-07-07 09:34

I have aLso bought from germany bison, yes shipping quite reasonable, packing is usually good but the last box i got from there the packing was dodgy, but luckily it still got here ok..only thing about germany is not all sellers ship worldwide, not all sellers accept paypal, and alot of the time you will pay more for boxes because there is more bidders that are willing to pay higher prices for boxes than peeps in uk..

P.s..that link to the sharp box you put up,i've seen them before, that is'nt a boombox, its more of a home system..they've just sqeezed the speakers next to it to make it look like a ghetto

bison - 2011-07-07 09:37

might give it a go then, prices seem lower and theres more choice.

bison - 2011-07-07 09:40

doh, didnt check all the flicks..hes passing it off as a boombox in his ad,

I haven't bought any b-boxes from Germany, but I have bought a fair few walkman from there. Most of the sellers are willing to send to UK. The only problem I have is that most sellers refuse to use PayPal as a convenient form of payment and instead will insist on bank transfer. This is fine if you trust the seller and also if your bank doesn't charge stupid amounts for international transfer.

I would definately buy a box from germany. That`s where i got most of my minty ones from. Still have my m70, i got off ebay.de. Look`s like it just came out of the box. Nice people to deal with as well.

Forgot to ask. If anyone else, has had a box from germany, smelling of tobacco, and, full of nicotine staining?

oh yes......i actually thought it was a yellow box

groftsnurw - 2011-07-08 07:41

you don't even want to know how most of the old school gaming consoles look over here.

there are really a LOT of smokers here in germany. especially in the older generation...

plop - 2011-07-08 09:24

Nope, none of the stuff I've bought from Germany luckily has been pre-owned by a smoker. I did get an AIWA from UK that was. I had to wash and then seal the faux leather cover in a bag of bicarbonate of soda for over a week to get rid of the smell. The unit itself had a similar deep cleanse with the bicarbonate of soda.

ghettoman - 2011-07-08 09:42

yes richard my Intersound/unisef that came from there was grubby and abit stinky, the speakers were yellow,i could'nt do anything about that, but i stripped the ghetto in to pieces and gave it a good scrub, and sprayed and cleaned with some pledge, made it smell rather nice, lucky its got a black cabinet..i dread to think what it would have looked like if it was silver..
