Boombox:Has anyone seen the Sounddesign model?

kriminel99 - 2011-08-13 08:19

Hi,

I found a picture on this vertical boombox on a blog, which states it as Soundesign Vertical Boombox 6 SPKR 4644.

I've been searching for one but the only thing that comes up in a search is that blog. Has anyone here ever seen this machine? If so, do you know the real model number? Or do you think it's a custom piece?

Also, can anyone recommend a UK source for large 80's dual cassette boomboxes? UK ebay is a bit thin on the ground for the large models eg Sharp GF-777Z, TOSHIBA RT-S983Dynasty Discolite.

Any recommended UK sellers on here?

Thanks,

We have Seen the Sanyo version of the Sound-design model in both single Sanyo M7740K and double cassette Sanyo MW800 see in first pictures below - 2 different version's.

We are not in the UK - We are in the USA - just going from your list Sharp GF-777Z, TOSHIBA RT-S983 - Sorry - No Discolight

Don't know the model number of the Sounddesign, thought it is NOT a custom boombox.

If you were to take a leetle plane ride arriving with no baggage and going home with lots of baggage then this is what you could select from!

I have one of those. It's not a vertical box. It's a mini. It has a switch to change from the front speakers to the top ones. More of a gimmick than anything else. Classic look though.

It looks like a rebadged Sanyo M7735, the spec are most likely the same also.

Sega the SANYO Brand is the Original Brand!!

it is the other store's that have the look-a-likes of the Sanyo Brand - For instance; over in the USA -- it is Sears & Radio Shack that have been Know to put their Name OVER The Sanyo Brand to sell unit's...

My deal from above about traveling to here was directed "only @ Mr. Sega" from the beginning, but ....

Mr. Cholo1 here is the deal for you and or most anybody else

{{ If you are Picking it up from here only $440.00 us dollars for either one - your choice }} - cause there is Two (2) of those Toshiba WX-1 RT-S983 BomBeat - models's here or $800.00 us Dollars for both of those models

yep but you gotta hurry as this stuff is starting to flow out of there -= just sold BOTH or all of my Sharp GF-777's to the same person and now that he know's where I am he's gonna be buying more he actually has a list and ( as fast as he makes the $ 'he said' he's gonna be buying the best one's he wants from here )  he also found a nib Sanyo one that he like's that i thought I would have a hard time selling... Thank God

cholo1 - 2011-08-27 07:44

@ James Craven Pierce: i know that offer wasnt for me and i apreiciate you still considere selling me a Box, if i can make it there in a near future i might take on the offer...seems like you're wharehouse will be empty soon

- 2011-08-27 08:58

Soon is relative... i dont think that this will be empty of boombox's for some time as 'we' are only selling 'them' to keep living here...

Hard to find work... No $$ - denied unemploymentinusreance due to 'company policy' sheesh..

Only Selling what will Sell -

Primarely the Heavy Hitter's are for sale as needed for $ for above...

Cause am Certain that there is lot's of Model's here that nobody desire's and or willing to pay a fair? price for them ( Fair price to me is No More than what they sold for new ) providing the one's I have are in that condition and or still desirable...

cholo1 - 2011-08-27 09:20

Hummm...very sorry to hear that, times are hard. Hope things go for the better Mr James.

The early Rat Shacks were GE and Sharp.
