deliverance - 2011-12-01 05:23

stinks rotten bm have you a 575 for sale ?

ghettoman - 2011-12-01 06:21

no not at the moment mate, they are a nice box,but they look nicer than they sound (typical sharp style sound) on ebay uk they sell for between £50-£100 or maybe a little more, but no way do they sell for £300+,well not untill that guys came up,never seen that before !!

retrodos - 2011-12-01 10:59

Alot of these power sellers shill bid up their own items, to make them seem worth more and sometime actually successfully infated the price. I even seen the pro's actually have a freind pay for the item thur paypal to make it look legit, then giving back the money in cash of course. Then resell it off one of their many of accounts and yes i seen some have as many as 20-30 good standing accounts, by using friends or even co-workers. It quite just sicken me to be honest, and none of these sellers will even bother to take the time to actually restore these and you end up with a crap box you paid top dollar for!! To put it simple, stay away from powersellers, their the one that actually screw you over and use gixen snipping program, it's free, as much as possible, so no bid wars can be started. Because all the pro's use it to get your boxes cheap so they can resell at a higher price, so why not level the playing field a bit.

If starting bid it to high, don't bid, let them relist it, or if their bids and it going for higher then normal, then chance are it's shill bidding, normal bidders wait till the last day to bid, unless it dirt cheap. Good example was a camcorder I bidded on and when for more then what it was worth, the guy relisted that same camcorder on a different account a week later, using the same picture and ad.

deliverance - 2011-12-01 11:19

theres con-men on ebay thats for sure if i can i will travel to pick up radios/boxes also to save damage in transit.

ghettoman - 2011-12-01 11:33

yes power sellers are the ones that are out to make big money because having all that feedback shows that they are a business rather than just a person thats selling their bits and bobs that they dont want anymore, that guy with the 575,he is defo a business because no one can have a personal collection of so many amps, speakers, tape decks, ghetto blasters,a private seller may have one or 2 amps, and speakers and other odd bits, but he has sold loads and loads of alsorts of hifi gear, amps, tape decks, speakers and ghettos,he is a business !! and i agree, something has to be going on with his boxes, the prices he is getting for his ghettos are prices i've never seen before..

and retrodos has a point,i remember this guys GF-27 ? that ended a few weeks ago at £155,which was odd because there is a GF77 on ebay right now thats been on there for weeks at £50 buy it now, that is alot more desirable and rare than a GF27,i have never seen a mini sharp go for anything like his 27 before,so something was going on,and surprise surprise,a week later he relisted it and it ended at the true price of £31..

bison - 2011-12-01 11:44

yeah its easy to see through an auction like this, for that price id like a night with kelly brook thrown in.

retrodos - 2011-12-01 12:08

Have no problems with a honest busineess, as I do this myseft, locally and on ebay. But I will actually take time to do the research, before buying items for value, and check every item before even making a offer, if it private seller that local. Like with highend poweramps will actually bring a multimeter, to check the offset and a pair of speakers to make sure it sounds balance and found a few with bad caps or output transistor and people don't even know, then make a offer and restore it fully and even do video proof. If person don't want to wait for me to test, then I will walk or he will walk.

The bad powersellers and their alot of them, will not even bother, they just lie on the description, saying fully tested and restore, when they didn't even poweron the item. They sell it at top dollar, for the price of a fully restored item. Alot of these guys don't even know how these items works or claim they don't have a tape to test the item, then shill bid on their own items, to start a bid war. The good sellers are collectors themseft and most even have a technical background or self taught, so they know and test the items they are selling and for the most part.

Let me just correct myself,QT27,and QT77,Not GF..

retrodos - 2011-12-01 12:21

They also get negative feedback remove, as you can appeal it, or use other accounts to give themseft positive feedback, seen it done way to many times. That why it a good idea to always read the feedback, even if it four out of a thousand.  If four people say they received the wrong item or came cracked or something, then you know what to expect. Most do inflate their rating. So becarefull.

bison - 2011-12-01 12:22

back to the actual box a 575,i want one badly,i think they are one of the best looking boxes out there,i will get one eventually.

ghettoman - 2011-12-01 12:31

Bison, the 575 do look very nice, but to be honest, they only sound average to ok,they have ok bass but they are certainly not monster loud, they are ok on low,but turn them up they start to cough and splutter,if you want one for looks thats great but if you want one for thumping ass bass then i would'nt bother, and that also goes for the GF9000 too, they look nice, and they have 8" woofers, but give poor bass..i have boxes with 4" woofers that smack the sh!t out of it for sound and bass..

bison - 2011-12-01 12:44

appreciate the heads up on the 575 bm,they turn up frequently over here though, and we dont have the choice of other countrys like germany or the states have unless you`ve got serious money to burn.

anybody on here get that sanyo big ben off ebayuk the other night?

ghettoman - 2011-12-01 13:03

not me man,i dont like them anyway..not my thing because they look like a old tv from the side, have you got a link to it ?

bison - 2011-12-01 13:28

the seller told me he accepted 150 on it,but just checked and the auction is still running,

ghettoman - 2011-12-01 13:37

ahh cool, did'nt see it..they are nice,i've always liked them but i dont want one, simply because of its shape, they look like a big arse old 70s tv at the back, cant really use them as a portable because they are so awkward to carry, but still, someone is going to get a nice box there man..

deliverance - 2011-12-01 13:49

sure i have seen the same pictures of sanyo before ?

claret.badger - 2011-12-01 16:15
