I actually seen the episode where Chumley's Brother Buy's the 1st Gen Lasonic TRC-931 for $75.00.

Now I cannot afford the cable channel that, that show was on anymore - so I haven't  seen it;  ( or any other cable television show ) in over a month now...

Still have a 27 inch CRT-type Sanyo Stereo TV that is cable ready but now Comcast requires their box to unscrambe their own cable channel's that the old 21 Year old tv was doing just fine all by it'self...

dont know if I should pay for higher up the ?? to get the cablebox service?

or is it finally time to HAVE TO get rid of the crt-tv...

and go all flat-screens around here - grumble ... grrrrr .... digital tv an such ...

it's Kroger Regular and Decaf instant Coffee - when my Mom was buying Groceries for me this was to let her know the Difference of just what to look for - and I was in 'that' page on here and this was the first picture to come up in the uploaded thingy, so it's coffee time

finally caught this episode..

chumlee buys  the trc 931 for $90

it had a broken antenna, one of the deck buttons missing and the cassette door panel was loose, otherwise it looked ok.

the seller wanted $250

Not to go OT, but I say in this day and age unless you just want a really big sreen there's almost no real need for a TV at all. This may sound like an odd thing to say on a board about old boxes, but TV is antiquated and redundant at this point. You can find just about anything you want to watch online.
