Having a move around of boxes and pulled this out of the pile

Philips Roller in red

tested it and all working - it has paint splatters on it and some sort or grease/tar ? in places - not a real mess, but with added dust and dirt it needed a good clean

this is going to be for sale soon

so i gave it a good clean with various cleaners and cloths and was surprised how clean and mint it looked

Definitely a cool looking box.  It is impressive when designers are allowed freedom to take risks and stand out from the crowd.   In contrast to companies like JVC that did not take any risks at all. 

and they are pretty heavy too

Bendycay, that is one truly insane looking machine.

I have a couple of the smaller Philips boomers & they have a surprisingly pleasant & warm sound, considering the lowly output & weedy looking speakers.

I'll bet the insides of this Roller are similar to my D8132.

It takes 6 batteries (C-cells?) many of the earlier 80s smaller Philips tokk 4 D-cells. Great value for money when used on batts
