Just a quick question from a newbie. When and what was the first Boombox. I see from some websites they suggest the Superscope by Marantz in 1975.

Any thoughts?

I don't think anybody can conclusivly say when the first boombox was born...boomboxes as far as i know go back to the early 60's as i remember tpr50 showed one from back then...hope this helps
