asked seller if he would ship to the uk if i made it worth his while, but he said no

why? dont get it?...he could make himself more of a tidy sale as i was willing to go that extra mile...could it be because the seller wants to keep it in the states?

More and more USA sellers won't ship outside of the USA. Alot of the time it's because they are just too lazy to fill out a simple customs form but also because there is alot higher risk of damage....

Also because Paypal doesn't not protect the seller to some countries.

As a Canadian we are neighbors to the USA and alot of them won't even ship here!

What really pisses me off the most is that alot of these same sellers have contacted me in the past and wanted to bid on my items yet when i check their auctions "Shipping to the USA only"!!

i just find it odd when your willing to make it worth there while,im not asking for any favours!...as for the risk factor it's me taking a risk on weather it arrives in the first place or if it turns up damaged, their ok they have got their money

Stereo mad if you are willing to pay extra postage you can have shipped to me and i can ship to you from the states. I can just forward it to you unopened or i can inspect it before shipping overseas.

Not really no and that's a big part of the problem with alot of sellers. Even though we say as buyers that "we are the ones taking the risk",it's actually the seller taking the most risk. Granted we are the ones paying for the radio and shipping BUT if the sller ships it and it gets damaged, these experienced sellers know that we file a paypal claim and get our money back but if that happens the sellers loses BOTH the radio and the money because 90% of the time Paypal will side with the buyer no matter what and the sellers loses everything.

There is also the fact that Paypal takes a % of the total payment and that includes shipping costs so the higher the shipping, the more the sellers loses to paypal.
Say for example i sell you a boombox for $200.00 but it costs another $150.00 to ship it because you live in a country overseas. The total payment is $350.00 .. well paypal takes a % percentage of the $350.00 and alot of buyers don't realize that.
The seller loses alot less over-all total payment and alot less risk of damage ect if he sells it within the USA because the shipping cost is alot less plus there is alot less risk it will get smashed and as i mentioned before, the Seller is not always protected against false claims when shipping to certain ccountries.

Please check postage for this unit from Georgia postal code 30296 to your international location. Best to know what extra shipping is before you decide. I am near US post office so sending off wont be hard on my end.
