Just picked up a Sharp GF 9797 and would like members opinion on this unit.

Hey mrupscale. The 9797, is a belter. One of the best sounding sharps, IMHO. I wish i still had mine. Used to play it regularly. It has the same deck, as the gf8989, except, for one switch, in a different place. Great box.

yep the 9797 is a cracker ,  so is the earlier 9595
