There are many lower-quality boxes that people spend more on.  I could name a few, but I've become too negative lately, lol.

Some of Universums and Palladiums were made in Taiwan, just curious about this one, picture is not clear, but there is "made in....." on the back label (right bottom corner), but where ? 

You're right, there are underrated boxes which sound much better, than well known ones, but they still look much worse.
