Ebay Sellers be ware!!!

mrupscale1 - 2012-06-16 00:05

I have a buyer saying my Panasonic i sold them has holes in speakers!! What a joke!! If i had not cleaned the inside of the unit and saw that speakers were in great condition they would have me due to me not knowing they were good. Why do they try this?? I know buyer picked it up for parts and want to send me their trash!!! Well i escalated it to let ebay handle it. Lets see what happens.

I also had a buyer who said ff and rew was slow though this is a longshot and not serious i still offered them a $50 refund since they wanted to keep the unit.

I want my customers to be happy with sales from me but seems crooks try to hold the feedback as ransom. They bid the price up to get units at any cost then dispute to basically get it at a much lower price.

I wish we could send units to a 3rd party for inspection before sending to buyers.

Just venting

Or photograph it thoroughly prior to dispatch.  Maybe ask the buyer to send you pics of the holes.

If i overlook something then i give the customer the benifit. But when i know its fabracated then it is unsettling. I take pride in keeping my 100% feedback but is discouraging given the way people are. We need a 3rd party.

eBay is Scam central, with sleazy buyers doing most of the scamming,Forget ebay..... try Etsy.... . it works and fees are less......

ok - thanks for this tip -

agree thats it good to have alternatives to ebay -

---------------------------

and i also agree with mrupscale -

ebay reeks with rippy buyers as well as lying sellers..

still - need to mention that in both buying and selling my boxes

on ebay -- over the years -

i have dealt with MOSTLY good people ...... say 90%

mikesoddsandends - 2012-06-16 16:53

try etsy ... at 20 cents/listing (plus 3% when sold), its a deal ....

brutus442 - 2012-06-16 19:24

I agree with Ira. Ebay %90 of time is good...it's the other 10% that boil your blood.

One benefit of being affiliated with forums like this, is establishing trusting friendships with like minded collectors. Most often internal sales go 100 times better. You may not get the top price but you'll know that it's going to a good home.

redbenjoe - 2012-06-16 19:32

NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT , Brutus-

the best boxes i have now and that i have ever sold have all been to members -- YES !!

and thats about 100 of them !!!

( or prolly lots more )

On ebay buyers can do want they want to sellers now , removing the option for  seller to leave neg feeedback has buyers holding all the cards .
