767 further mod

stereo.mad - 2012-07-15 06:25

after upgrading the mid and bass speakers in my 767 it sounded the nuts but could benefit from some better high's so iv installed some extra tweeters

iv put in some car audio tweeters situated behind the port holes shown in the pictures.....i have to say it sounds so much better,it sounds sharp and fantastic with the upgraded mid's and punchy bass speakers!

i would say it's nearly or is up with my m90!

i am sure many boxes in general will benifit with more modern speakers fitted instead of the paper type , also it wont spoil the look of them can only improve the look and the sound .

Hey Lee, do you reckon a speaker swap would work on that Elta Discolite we were talking about the other day??

Nice, the few things you should pay more attention to when swapping drivers is that the impedance should match the original. A lower impedance than original will increase risk of frying the amplifier. The other thing to pay attention to is the sensitivity of the new driver (mesaured in dB). The higher dB the better bang for the watt out of the amplifier.
