How is the performance of the tuner? Is it any better than the older models? Without having to deal with all of the rf noise (static) an iPod puts off the sensitivity of the tuner could be improved quite a bit if Lasonic would put some effort into it. There was a bit of an improvement in the AM (MW) performance in the i931x over the original i931, but the AM and FM in both leave a lot to be desired.

Nice lookin' 'box.  The price seems reasonable, also.

Put a little wear on those speakers. New speakers do not deliver all the sound right away. After wearing those a little bit, the bass will come.

 Just got one of these. Its the limited edition with the chrome and black. When I first got it I was like WOW! This things huge! I forgot what the old 80's boomboxes were like. I love the look of it. I am a big fan of 80's music and playing old songs through it brings back memorys. When I first turned it on I connected it through bluetooth to my Iphone and it paried right up. When I played a song I was quite dissapointed in the quality of sound however after turning up the bass it sounded quite a bit better. What really made this thing come alive is when I was messing with the remote and hit the EQ button. When the LOUD option came on this thing CAME ALIVE! It sounds GREAT and no distortion at high volume levels. It is VERY loud for a boom box. I would really like to know how to turn on the LOUD function from the unit instead of the remote so if anyone knows how this is done please let me know. Overall I am very satisfied with this unit and would recommend it highly. Haven't checked out the mic yet but as far as bluetooth and using a USB stick it works GREAT! I wish the USB port was compatible with my Iphone so it would charge it while I played but it just doesn't work  Even with that I would still buy another one. Thumbs Up....

I just got a I931BTQ limited Ray Ban Never Hide edition. A nice red one with chrome. They don't sound bad indeed for a modern bt speaker. I like it.
