retro.addict - 2012-08-26 13:39

I had a great time, and I second all the stuff davebush said about the wonderful food and Docs' family's hospitality, I'm sure a great time was had by all. It was great to meet so many people from stereo2go! Here's some pics I took...

Just a small portion of the boxes present

Crown CSC-950 and the strange Toshiba!

A rather nice looking box, a Wilko?

Hitachi TRK-8190 and Philips D8444

Docs' lovely Toshiba RT-S932 with wireless remote,

I think everyone loved it's 'light show'

Docs' minty JVC RC-M90

Such a classic pic...

A close up of all those radio bands

Docs' splendid Toshiba RT-S90 really stole the show

All lit up, it sounded rather awesome too

My GE Blockbuster and docs' Realistic SCR-8 made an entertaining camparison

The Blockbuster with 'Mustang' C60 cassette

The SCR-8 sounded really good

My Blockbuster and a JVC RC-M70 battle it out, and the M70 wins easily!

The awesome Daewoo box with Lav Loo and Deliverance

My Philips D8634 and Lav Loo's Philips D8614 together

A very clean Sharp GF-9494 with Lav Loo and Deliverance in the mirror again!

The GF-9494 and some other great boxes

Thanks everyone for a great meet, I had a blast!

docs - 2012-08-26 13:48

northerner - 2012-08-26 14:02

I had a brilliant afternoon with you guys! Great to match faces to names and for me to see many boxes I'd not seen or heard in the flesh. Dave and his wife were great hosts. We also had probably the shortest ever owning of a box...andy traded a box he'd owned for all of 10 minutes! LOL! A brilliant way to spend a Sunday afternoon!!!

deliverance - 2012-08-26 14:06

Where was it held?

davebush - 2012-08-27 09:59

Rich.......It was at Docs place

litfan - 2012-08-27 11:04

Which town dave?

docs - 2012-08-27 11:21

Bury, North Manchester.

Bury eh? Chris (deliverance), won`t have had far to go

deliverance - 2012-08-27 13:59

20 /25 minutes depending on the m60 ,  bloody trafford centre

litfan - 2012-08-27 14:14

Know it well chris. My brother, used to live in sale. I`ve been all round that area. Can`t remember it though.

deliverance - 2012-08-27 14:17

if dave ever has another meet i will take you there and back rich .

litfan - 2012-08-27 14:26

Well, that`s a kind offer chris, but, having met you, i would take your word for it.

deliverance - 2012-08-27 14:38

some collection you have       i dread to think what it was like a few years back .

litfan - 2012-08-27 14:45

Think of every box, being in the same nick chris. Mint boxes, went into the collection, others, went in the shed. That`s why, the shed was chocka.

litfan - 2012-08-27 14:46

Who did you get that aiwa from chris? I forgot. I also forgot. I was gonna be cheeky, and, ask if you would re-belt my trk8180. Never mind.

deliverance - 2012-08-27 14:49

i like that anything thats not up to the mark fling it in the shed , but rich dust comes off

deliverance - 2012-08-27 14:54
