tosh 8900

lav.loo - 2012-10-06 05:37

well guys as you may have seen in the feedback post i put up yesterday regarding the tosh 8900 i got off member Stereo Mad,  i just want to do a run down of the box as promised.

firstly i just want to say a big thank you to Lee for sending me the box in advance of payment, true gent

ok here goes, firstly the tosh was packed brilliantly and arrived within 48hrs, communication with Lee was also excellent.

now the box......well it comes exactly as described by Lee, just a small ding on top chrome plate and a bit of wear as he said.

the rest of the box is pretty mint and all original with no rust or corrosion ect.

i just want to say also that it's built like a tank and is really weighty for a midsizer.

it has lots of real chrome which is in perfect condition and looks really blingy in the light.

it also has proper aux line in and this function works perfect.

it also works on all radio bands too but the deck i think needs re belting as there is noise but nothing happening, (Lee did tell me this prior to the deal)

soundwise it's better than i thought, something like a sanyo m9990 if i had to compare with another box.

it has great highs but bass is a little shy.

it arrived in clean condition but ive done a detailed internal and external clean.

all in all a great box and i'm very happy to own it, hopefully there will be pics to come soon, thanks for reading guys

Nice one, sounds like a decent box! I was watching the eBay one as I thought it had a heavy duty look to it. Look forward to the pics!

Well I love my 9191 so if it's that sort if size and quality I'll keep my eyes open for one

yeah it's roughly the same size, id'e say build quality is same too if not slightly better, it's dated feb 81 so falls into the golden age of boxes
