The crown advert translated:

CROWN

Years ahead in terms of Quality and Price.

Our long experience in the manufacture in quality

CROWN Radio Cassette Tapes
enabled us now  to offer a unique range of
devices that are years ahead in technology and

exceptional prices for the quality they offer.

All this starts from the basic belief here at CROWN  that is

not mandatory to make compromises in quality when buying a portable device.

Thus all portable Radio cassette tape devices are build with quality and performance equivalnent of those on major home stereos.

So if the quality is your primary aim and do not want spend money unnecessarily the solution of choosing CROWN is ideal.

It surprises me everytime i find out something new

A couple of days ago i bought an mx920

Only now i did understand and compare that

this heavily moded box that Malcom Maclaren stands behind it

is the same model !!

How i love this hobby !!

I have also seen a philips D8614 moded like this mx920

in a link by a member

at a Lav Loos post for the 575 at markplaats.nl but i missed to

save a pic of it (it was so beautiful and was being sold for 75 euros)

If any member from Holland or anone has a pic  or the link then please repost !

I had the pleasure of listening to one of these Hyper Sounds at the Canadian Meet. I was astounded by it's sound and clarity at high volumes.

Great post Deech!

Philips AZ 8304 from 1992 with Mark Knopfler. Weren't Dire Straits an ambassador for the CD Format? I remember Brothers in Arms advertised as the album that should be listened in this new (back then) digital foprmat. Maybe i am wrong though.
