in the wild

bison - 2012-10-18 19:00

Has anybody found anything in the wild lately?
Not seen any finds posted for a while

lav.loo - 2012-10-19 00:37

not a sausage mate, looks like the finding in the wild days are long gone, you can blame ebay for that

northerner - 2012-10-19 01:48

As a relative newcomer to this madness I've not really found anything of great consequence in the wild...the best I found was my 3D which, whilst I love this one because its good and square and is boxed and mint, isn't the most exciting find in the world.  Other than that all I've ever found is crappy eggs I got just to strip a few parts out of.  The 3D is the only box on my display shelves.

So I've never really had the joy of finding a wild one

found my SuperJumbo "in the wild"

just before I left the UK

other than that - i been too skint to look

had that jvc 770 thats now gone from the flea market a month ago, then this week the same guy told me he had found me the aiwa tpr 920 that i mentioned before.....but other than this its a big fat zero.and ill tell you whats doing it.....E.B.A.Y and all the idiots on there driving prices through the roof for relative junk and giving people who are skint like me,lav loo and CB no chance at anything.....no wonder people like my mate ste (mansion on here)have officially given up with it all

Iv never found anything apart from a little jvc that I got from an old boy who's house I was working on, I work on a lot of houses some of them big and often get a look in lofts, sheds and garages and never see anything! Iv had no option but to pay crazy prices for my boxes or I would not have my collection.
Iv alway said on here that at the end of the day there only 30yr old radio cassette players! But the trouble is we love em!

andyboombox - 2012-10-19 04:12

i can relate to you there lee but as for paying dear prices sadly i cant afford to,so i stay clear of ebay full stopfor instance theres a mate of mine selling an old marantz box but hes asking 30 quid for hes had it on there weeks-its just not selling....people are asking just too much cash

lav.loo - 2012-10-19 04:20

I'm watching that one (of course) and its already at £42 with a couple of days to go so its not doing badly...of course you're probably to blame for its increase in value with your one man promotional campaign!

nah, too much of a cheapskate me, plus I need to build some more shelves before I buy any more boxes...the GF9000 is just sat on the kitchen table taking up way too much room cos I've got no where else to put it!

lav.loo - 2012-10-19 06:27

i think you better get the gf 9000 moved before the missus accidently on purpose knocks it off the table lol.

I found my JVC M90 in the wild so to speak....more like my neighbours garage

Lately all my thrift store jaunts have turned up nothing but crappy walkmans and late nighties eggs from the late 90's

I agree that Ebay has spoiled the hunt now

lav.loo - 2012-10-19 13:46

an m90 in your neighbours garage

maybe i should start looking closer to home
