Show Us Your GF-9*9*s

mitchelljames - 2012-12-22 10:30

Hey all

Ive got three boxes from the classic Sharp 9*9* series.

Out of my three i would say the 9595 is best sounding and definately the heaviest but imo the 9494 wins it on looks.

Thanks guys. Ive never seen or heard the 9797 but i just goggled it and looks a bit differant to rest of the range, deck keys same as the 8989 and other elements remind me of Toshiba rts893 and also a bit Hitachi-ish. You can bet it sounds good

lav.loo - 2012-12-22 12:16

yes MJ the 9797 is a great sounding box, more like the 9595, same build quality aswell, like a tank.

it has the silver cones too which i prefer, i would defo recommend getting one to anybody

ao - 2012-12-22 12:17

The 9*9* 's never really captured my imagination that much, yes they looked superb but woefully let down by sound & build quality, a bit like American cars of the 70's, all the looks but engines were a secondary consideration or as we say in the UK, 'all fart and no poo'.

That said, I own three.

northerner - 2012-12-22 15:00

Got a 9090, 9191 and a 9494. Love them all but the 9494 stands out in terms of looks, sound quality, and build. I love GFs!!!

elektroneko - 2012-12-22 16:10

Still want a GF-9191. It's the boombox my dad had. Played a lot with it when I was younger...

Just saying that when you " hover your mouse over the (picture thumbnails - above) it reads {Title: 30 description - what is that } then of course - yes  Your Correct the Full sized Picture shows the number of the box.
