I have always loved the looks of that unit but, I never heard one or seen one in person.   They seem to be a bit on the rare side

Hi.......i actually have this unit from new bought in 1990 i think would have to find receipt........i need to open her up though as tape decks are no longer working presume perished belts

Also have the flat battery pack that mounts on underside but this seems to be dead now.

driptip. I notice in your pic you have a CS880 do you have any spare parts? I'm actually after an antenna and a passive radiator. If you have or you know of any one who has one could you let me know please. Would very much appreciate it. Have a good day

Well if anyone is passing by Nottingham more than welcome to come have listen to the Sanyo CD and radio working fine

There is a Aiwa CS-880 on ebay for parts:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261221308020?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619 i would love one of these as remember neighbour having one and I had a Phillips D8444 which found nice example of in 2012

So now have the 2 main ghettoblasters have owned in my life and could not resist the TDK3 as i believe this is the classic of the future

Yes working on getting the manuals copied for you

stereomann - 2013-06-03 08:20

ok thank you

nickdoofah - 2013-06-03 10:51

nice logic controlled casette decks too rare on a portable from the 90's most had that horrid cheap one motor does both decks mech - terrible things - hope it's not too tricky to change belts, I would guess they are 2 separate 2 motor mechs in that! oh & fisher was owned by sanyo then!

mka360 - 2013-06-03 11:10

Yes they are logic controlled according to service manual is 2 x belts though have not striped it down yet..........and probably will be long time before i do as dont need the decks for use....tbh all 3 of my collection are just ornaments .........i know before you all start shouting at me i can see there are some real hardcore enthusiasts on this site.

I am not sure if sanyo owned fisher or was just badged but they are the same unit.

mka360 - 2013-06-05 06:54
