so here are the photos,and yes it looks exactly like your photos too...well a friend of mine that is new to this forum, frankie from puerto rico too,told me about this conion he was going to buy from some guy first it was 300 dollars but as the owner research later ask for 500 so i told my friend dont let it go or let me buy it, he was kind enough to let me grabb this jewel,the radio was supose to be damaged" not turn on" so i gambled thinking was a blown fuse! jackpot!!! was a fuse, but  neither none of us know about this gold radio being rare ,matter of fact i tought it was yellow from being old, i will keep it for my existance,some thing are more valuable  than money,i will use it as my home stereo and bring some uhh ahhh on my friends faces..thats worth every penny any body can guive me.......at least is 5,000!! jejeje.

Whatever the buyer chooses to spend on it. You'll never know until you sell it to be honest.

djalexx1 - 2013-03-07 07:57

nope the question wasn't aimed directly at you my friend.....enjoy your radio smile...

just there are people like me with nothing to wright home about....and then there are people like my brother with probably 300k in the bank and 2 large houses....i dunno i just don't like greed never have

djalexx1 - 2013-03-07 09:25

its all good man (ok) you r completely right,spending time looking for this boxes,the anticipation of getting it and cleaning ,fixing,its worth any penny,in the bank will give me security but not joy, an that its what a lot of people dont do in life,they live it but not really enjoy........did i sound poetic??? :-D

rarity=high value reno..you know that,

a silver one will do for me,a gold one can wait till the exhaust on my car fixes itself.

My question is kina like this bison lad....would people collect eg... boomboxes if they had no money value....like me im only interested in the good sounding ones....

redbenjoe - 2013-03-07 15:05

i think that $$ is rarely the reason we collect -

its mostly about style and memories and just having some good

portable music --

it would be so much better for collectors if all boomboxes were

a buck !!!

radio.raheem - 2013-03-07 15:12

agree ira....i have my quirks like only wanting boomboxes that sound good....but id still have them if they were worth nothing.....unfortunate for me and many the good sounding ones cost the most..(in general)....but i think i could see some people ditching there boxes or whatever if they were worth nothing
