Well here is an auction for a Silver ST-868.

Shall i sell mine for hmm eehh lets say not 999

but 699 to get an M90 or a Conion or a SHARP 1000??

they do look a bit wierd photo wise but in the flesh allot better  .

they are bigger than the photos portray..i was on the one that went for £11 but forgot about it,

still it went to a good home

it looks like an instant classic to me & like a goldmine to mr xiaosan...

the silver brand made some good units imo.

the one in the auction is minty but way too expensive

never knew hitachi bought them out,and they owned harman-kardon,

i have two silvers one is top quality and the other one lightweight sh*te

I like those Silver bboxes -

they have some nice sounding units, but also cheap plasitc stuff.

The 858 is a good sounding unit (for a 1-piecer - like the Universum Super Sound 1600 or the Sencor S 4800 ... just for the sound discription) , and it sounds better than the big 888!

Sell it for 699? Shure, if you find one who pay this price (I bought my 858 for 15 Euros in good condition and full working order ...)

very nice Deech, although i gotta say the tuner section is a little big.

still a nice overall looking box for sure
