hifitom - 2013-03-18 08:27

Hello

I just bought this boombox. The lable say that this is a Siemens RC-9105 build for the austria market - but for shure it isn't!

The big german Siemens RS 806 is also just labled, in real it's a Sanyo C 7 (on the US market also sold as a Yamaha PC-9) ... but this unit? Never saw one before ...

I have looked in my BBDB Tom and no dice.  You have a rare one there.  Get me some up close shots for better clues and maybe we can hone in on it.

Okeedokeee...

I have studied this box and what it has revealed to me is that it is a kissing cousin to the JVC PC-11 and Vector VMC-100.  Now before anyone says anything, these boxes are close but vastly different in sound.  The JVC is bass shy and has a five band EQ.  The Vector has a 7 band EQ and slightly different control layout and terminal layout on the back.  The Siemens is very different on the front, similar on the back at the deck and battery compartment, modified at the rear reciever section.  All have different speaker setups.  But I would hazard the general guts are the same.
