smeats1976 - 2013-04-06 08:56

I've got the chance to buy a Panasonic rx-7200 and just wanted find out what other members who perhaps heard or owned one though of this model. How does it compare to the rx-7000 for example? Any thoughts, experiences or knowledge you have, I love to hear about! thanks

If you still have the chance to buy it smeats then

i suggest you buy it without hesitation.

I dont own one but i own a 7000 which is slightly different

judging by some pics i ve seen in the past week,

The 7200 has a digital tuner and it is somehow a little bigger

than the 7000.

The sound of the 7000 is warm and nice

in a few words i love  it !

If you buy it make sure you post some pics of it

for us bbox junkies

It's a fine machine indeed.

Just make sure that 110V operation won't be a problem for you though. They normally are 110V only.

Thanks Guys thats pretty much what I wanted to hear, I'm going for it! I was looking for a RX-7000 but I think this may be even better! Its from Hong Kong and I've agreed a reasonable price (not cheap enough to make you jealous)

Hope it's not 110v cos it will be a pain in the arse but there are always ways and means to get round probs like that!!

hope the transaction goes well for ya Smeats

i have the 7200 and is only 100volt, and the tuner only goes upto 90, so no useful tuner really.

Hi driptip! How do you like the sound and Can you play it loud without distortion? I see your from LA! does it run ok on U.S. 110 voltage?

you said it Radio Raheem, i use the step down converter dont want to fry the components on this unit hehehe,

Smeats1976 the unit can get loud, seems to have better bass than the 7000 which i also have but not much and it will distort if you go too loud like most units.

never the less is some what rare. i love mine.

I'm sure I'll love mine as well! thanks both for advice, I was thinking I could get away with a UK to US step down transformer as they are common as muck on ebay but I won't risk it now. If you say there's plenty of 100v ones on ebay RR then I'll find one. I've plenty of time, just found out delivery expected been mid and early June
