Got the singer case exterior finished / only have to fit the battery and get it wired up and the I can see that magic eye bouncing up and down....exited mook!...will post some interior shots when it's wired ;-)

Looks great and I think the magic eye valve will be a nice touch! Does the magic eye run on low voltage?

113 year old? Yikes! I don't have the heart to chop up vintage things that have stood the test of time. Don't get me wrong, when I see things like that, I immediately start thinking of mods, then I feel sorry for the item and feel someone else would cherish the originality of it. Guess it would be different if I pulled it out of the trash though. I might have a go at making a mookbox soon. Found myself looking at luggage in a thrift store today and seen some briefcases and figured that was boombox sized and pretty much in a hard case, might make a good box?

Cheers guys - yeah I do quite like antiques and it can be a struggle to make the first cut sometimes - but I figure I'm adding value and interest to an otherwise undervalued old item so I can justify it...just about ;-) ....good luck with the suitcase...just remember to board the bugger out so it doesn't vibrate to much ;-)
