Daz really loved this boomer but very rarely used it...Daz I hear you ask ??..tiny sticker in gold and black just left of the tuner dial reads Daz and must have been the very proud owner of this VERY expensive machine when new

jayfresh - 2013-07-15 17:03

Very pretty box! Congrats on the find.

isolator42 - 2013-07-15 23:13

top of the line first generation 3D - It's a good machine, this one.

Build quality is best on the earlier 3Ds, the feature count is excellent (it has a proper line-in) & this was the most powerful of the 1st gen 3Ds. very nice... I like mine very much

Im think this ones 1980s or am I wrong ???

isolator42 - 2013-07-16 05:03

yup, around 1985 - quite early for a CD boomer. Would've been very expensive back then.

mnt - 2013-11-25 08:20

it's from 1986, I have one too.

big.john - 2014-01-11 10:53

Yeah, I'd put it about 1985-7, I saw one then but at the time I wanted a machine with detachable speakers so I bought a white Philips D8958 but this got nicked in 88. I've just bought one of these on ebay, the CD player worked with a lot of problems, now it doesn't even work so effectively I've just got a double cassette radio unless it can be fixed, anyone trained in this field that lives in or near Bury St Edmunds?

tster - 2014-01-11 12:34

Lovely score GC, really nice condition and a quality box I bet. Like Isolator said that would of cost a fortune back then, beautiful.

big.john - 2014-01-11 12:51

Yes, lovely machine, pity the CD doesn't work on this one, I could've got a radio cassette for a score, this cost me a whole lot more.  Every day I live convinces me more that life is a prison sentence, I was born to be punished, everything goes wrong for me whether it's electrical goods, relationships, work, you name it, I'm a shit magnet.

driptip - 2014-01-11 20:46

hey no worries big john, you are special thats all.
