tape deck catch snapped off

oh no,

my tape deck wont close as the plastic catch has snapped off.

does anyone think superglue will work well enuff?

or does anyone have any diy ideas how to fix it?

Superglue is crap IMO...for a bit of plastic that has a small contact area but takes some stress you want the solvent stuff that melts the plastic and welds it back together...you can get it from hobby shops. Two part epoxy ain't bad either.

JB weld also works wonders. I have used many times and its very strong.

Glue that  comes with the spay activator.... Normally used for trims on double glazing

2nd that. I've used hard plastics glue to good effect in the past.

I agree. If you can get it, "ultraloc" gel is very good, twice as strong as superglue. I got some, to repair the arm on my glasses, superb. 20 seconds, it`s solid.
