My latest cheapish score! Found this very nice AudioSonic TBS-8900 box yesterday on the local auction site. 15 euros, and this thing goes extremely loud! It needed a new belt, it wasn't receiving in stereo and needed a good clean, but all is going again.

This box is special. Its the only one I got with a colored backside!

No doubt, it must sound good. See the heavy speaker magnets, not so common with boomboxes!

Thanks guys, I think this is a real underestimated box in Europe. Normally AudioSonic is a shitty brand known for their cheap clock radios and such. But this thing just rocks! From now on I keep my eyes open for boxes of this brand! It's my second AudioSonic that performs much better than expected!

Ive been searching the history of eBay Germany and a couple of days ago the same box sold for 30 euros after 19 bids. So it is a bargain for what you get, but that's because it's an unknown gem I guess

How heavy is that box? It looks pretty robust inside.

I always thought, in Stereo LED VUs, both should play from Left to Right. This video changes that thought!

I will remeber that deech, but Im not planning to sell it soon. But I will keep an eye on the local market over here for you. I'm pretty sure there will be more of them around! AudioSonic is fairly common over here.

It is a Conion CRC-H58F, not in the best condition

as it is missing 2 knobs

but for 10 euros this is ok !!

Ow Deech, I knew you would find one! And it's even a real Conion!!!  And 10 euros is a very cool price too! Congrats with it! Glad you found it, I haven't seen any for sale here since the last one. I'm sure you will get the switches too some time!  Enjoy it!

This box for sure sounds better than an M70 imo

it is quite heavy and a nicely built box

You see it's better to be patient, you would have paid probably three times more only for shipping that box to Greece! How do you like the Wide sound? You can move the switch? Isn't it amazing??? Haven't heard anything like it! 

It sounds amazing !

The unit is just missing the crome switches

but can be moved from wide to stereo and mono

and from tape to radio and sleep

I know you have two of them and one with the conion demo tape

so cant be wrong with this unique bbox !

In fact i m listening to it right now.

It also has such a clear line in,

connected my mobile and sounded like radio !!

If i d bought this one from ebay.de it would have costed me about 130 -150

euros to get it here.

And patience is always the key to this hobby

I always put the switch on normal. I like the extreme highs out of this box!  Does yours have a DIN or a propper line in? I haven't played with the line in yet, so no idea if it's need the record button pushed. Mine got the DIN. It's my favorite box for cassettes. They sound lovely in it 

Mine doesnt play cassettes but i ll surely fix it

now that i ve heard the incredible sound it has!!!

This is the side panel that it has and

what i m using is the auxiliary outs with 2 mini jacks

and a splitter adaptor which can be attached  to any

modern device i guess.

It doesnt need the record button to be pushed you just have it on TAPE

the only incredible thing here is the way you keep finding these gems in the wild! go ahead my friend, that's the spirit!

Mine has the same panel, didn't even notice there is a proper aux!  As I can remember the belts cassette are an easy fix. Also don't forget to put some batteries in it  And start looking for a minty one  This is the ultimate allround beater boombox! 

No way, this one tasts delicious when its raw
