What was the first model of JVC Kaboom?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know which the first Kaboom was?

I have a green RV-B90, the 'Urban Assault' Kaboom. It dates from about 1998 as far as I know. There was also an RV-B70 which I guess was a budget model and, for some odd reason, didn't have a cassette deck.

Were the B70 and B90 the first ones, or was there a model before them?

Mine looks like this...

Hi Ra....as far as i remember the rvb90 was one of the first kabooms....launched along side the dp200...i remember i bought an rvb90 brand new £130....i didn't buy the dp200 because it was over twice the price....i have since learned that the dp200 is way better with it's bass and treble controls... (much better on cassette) i just didn't like the horrid drum pads of the dp200 and still don't

Edit..... the druumpads don't effect the performance they just make the dp200 look cheap and nasty imho....but it's easily the best retro kaboom ever made
