I was talking to my good friend David at the weekend; I told him about s2g and the recent re-kindling of my boom box hobby and he said…..”Seb this may be of interest to you” Out of a cupboard he pulled two Sharp QT-12’s. One of witch he had from university days, the other he picked up from a radio rally. I was particularly intrigued for I have a red QT-12 and had wondered which other colors they came in (Si posted his blue one for me) Dave is a very good photographer, today he sent me these great pictures. So here we go…….

They are nice machines, great styling and good sound for such a small machine; Boomboxdeluxe had good taste!

do these boxes use 6 D cells or C cells? I can't make out the last pic info sticker

They use 6 C cells. Battery life is very good. I listen to mine in the bath (playing tapes) It is on  the same set of batteries that I put in 6 months ago!

why would you put a radio in the bath?...I suppose it might have good acoustics...a bit weird tho  

Na, I don't put it in the bath, I put myself in the bath and the radio is out on the landing giving me some chill out sounds while having a nice long soak.........Oh I see youre joking arn't you . The acoustics in my bathroom are terrible by the way

Yeah, I think they are great little machines, not the best, but pretty good for what they are!

Yes they are perfect for taking on holiday, as I say I love them (and I know them inside out so if you get one and need any tech advice I can hopefully be of help! )
