yea what do they compare to as ive never had a goldstar before....are they as good as the crown 970????how big are the speakers thanks

what a gorgeous box, congratulations! Goldstar is probably an underrated company, if it produced such beautiful units as yours and the one that Northerner got a couple of weeks ago

hey tim, a while back i saw one at the flea market, its a really big unit, the sound is not bad but not as an m90 , (never had a crown) it was in rough shape so i left it there.

I sold mine unfortunately sal as she had a nasty accident and was beyond my repair...if that hadn't happened i would have NEVER parted with her son...checking out si's thread now

retros memory is accurate --these sound similar but better than a 20/20 -- but

not as great as a 970

Thanks guys she is coming from Germany lads....i have one trick up my sleeve guys if the bass isn't up  to my par i have some crown speakers to install but im looking forward to her....si why not try installing some m70 speakers in yours lad....im sure that would improve things no end

I had one of these too, it was ok for sound, not brilliant but pretty nice. Enough bass but lacked a little clarity. I would say it was very similar to a 20/20 with perhaps the 20/20 pipping it. The Goldstar is quite light and lacks a little bit of quality on the feel but overall I really liked it and would take a better example of the one I had any day. GZ on your purchase.

im glad you recommend  the golstar lad cuz up till now people seem to think it's like the rising 2020 which i know doesn't sound upto much so im hoping for the best lad

I know im actually finding this quite amuzing but there is always the chance my 20 20 was faulty....im hoping my crown 970 drivers will fit that should improve things big time....but from what a member has said it dosen't look like they will

yea maybe son,,,,but the 970 drivers are special....there only made of paper but they are deeper better built than the m90 drivers by far...god knows how an m90 sounds as good as it does though

but i have stripped one down and rebuilt after a large bottle of whisky...back in my drinking days lol...its quite easy mate

Yeah, I've tackled things like that when I've come back from the pub; a bit too well oiled! Dutch courage they call it!  The next morning I often used to think "Holy ****, did I realy take that expensive piece of kit appart? Still I fixed a lot of faults that way. Have become a bit too timmid to do that now!

Tuner needs fixing.....plastic plexi is missing off the door...right hand side vu is dead

but on the whole it's a nice box...much clearer that the 880 crown 970 etc.....the bass is quite good better than expeted lads and it's about as loud as the 970.....can't wait to try and put the 970 speakers in....ohh and the build quality seems better than the 970 too

compairs to id say much better than a gf9000....if you aint or an't afford a rown 970 m90 et this is the next best thing....if there is room for my 970 drivers this will be my perfect box and cheerz to you seb also
