Grandest in each category

Looking into getting started with a ghetto blaster. Been looking at them for years and I'm finally at a point where I can financially afford one.

I'm wondering which model is:

Over all largest

Has the largest speakers,

The loudest

Has the most lighted features or largest area lighted

I'd also like to know which box has the best over all sound quality. I realize such a thing is subjective, but opinions would be great.

Thanks for the time taken to read this, and hopefully to respond to it. I appreciate any help I can get.

welcome aboard man............are you UK or US.....if your thinkinng of starting collecting, just get anything you can then work your way up to the big ones......thats what most people do.....

I could name a couple, but they would cost you $500-1,000 in good condition.  You can't have everything you listed without spending a lot of money.

By the way, the boxes with the largest speakers might look cool, but they aren't the best sounding.

Best sounding = a 3-piece unit, and those typically have smaller speakers.

Might want to check out a Fisher PH-490, it's a very nice 3-piece but it has large-looking speakers.

But how much weight do you really wanna carry around?

you wont go wrong with the infamous m90,  or my other choice will be another infamous radio, the amzing PANA 5350 also with the same features.

      large   speakers

beautiful   sound

and large overall.

for a lighted area, you might want a DISCO LIGHT, (PERSONAL DISCO LIGHT) (VELA)

sound is bad, but brings a ton of attention, and they are not cheap.

A good start box would be a JVC m70 its not too big or too small it has great sound and the price is not super high like the bigger boxes

Biggest Boxes..Jc2000/Wheely,Techsonic J1,Sharp Vz2000/2500

Biggest speakers,again either Jvc M90-8" Jc2000-10"? or J1-8",Lasonic 931-8"..

Most lights, definately the Discolight, the discolight is good if you dont mind poor sound.because they dont sound that great..

Loudest = not sure, there are lots of loud boxes, but alot of the time, big speakers does'nt mean Big/good Loud sound..i got some boxes with 4"-5" woofs that would mash a box in to the ground with 8" woofs..

Yes and i agree with Reli, you will probebly get better sound/bass out of a 3 piece box because they have their own individual chamber and some have bass ports ect..alot of people dont like 3 piece, but i love them..they are just as much ghetto than any one piece..

If you want something with Quality, something sensible would be M70,M90,or a Sharp 777,If you want something just big and flashy, you are best going for a Lasonic 931..

1. Over all largest: Berecha Model?
2. Has the largest speakers: JC2000 9.5 inch speakers-stereo or JVC RC-550-Mono 10 inch single woofer
3. The loudest: Conion C-100F 8 inch woofer's but not the Best sounding.
4. Has the most lighted features: any DiscoLight.
4a. or largest area lighted: depends upon what you mean ie: dial Lights?
5. I'd also like to know which box has the best over all sound quality. I realize such a thing is subjective, but opinions would be great.
?. Only Large Boombox's considered;
5a. Single Piece Box: - JVC RC-M90 8 inch woofers
5b. Multiple piece box: - Panasonic RX-A2*Best or RX-6400  [ both have 8 inch woofers ] either is Not really a boombox but can operate on batteries, and is portable, Also could be considered the largest?
5c. Traditional 3-piece boombox: Telefunken HiFi Studio 1M

Beanie man, Yes, the Lasonic boxes are very pretty. They are what first got me interested and I'll be getting one.

Mr. Pierce, I've been drooling over the telefunken for years. They aren't cheap, but that's what I would eventually want to become my bicycle's sound system
