Sharp GF-505ST Searcher XL Japanese BBX

rom.selecta - 2009-09-23 22:10

This is another from my 'Make Space' Sale Razz

Everything works, no parts are broken and it sounds pretty good! There is no crackling from any of the knobs or buttons, but I sprayed some deoxit gold on them for good measure

It is fairly clean overall, but there are 2 very small chip on the alloy panel above the tuner. There are also some very light scratches here and there. The battery case has no battery leaks/corrosion. There is a small drip of what looks like white paint just under the tape counter - I will try to get it off... I think it will chip off with some sort of plastic scraper without damaging the case.

It is 100v and FM band is 76-108 and it says 18w 2 way next to each speaker (not sure if that is 18w total or each).

It has phono/line in, line out and speaker out.

A translation of the Japanese functions can be included.

Asking price is $100 not including shipping

blah.blah.blah - 2009-10-20 14:47

hope it goes big for you rom. i love it but couldn't really swing it then.

im.out.of.hear - 2009-10-20 18:15

i would have loved to have bought some jap boxes but that shipping just kills it for me.. i did a calculation for shipping to uk,just to send that smallish GF is 13,600yen = £95,so just imagine a big GF then..
to ship a 777 airmail from china is £100..and my big sharp from usa was $95 = £60

rom.selecta - 2009-10-21 17:01

I am guessing that was airmail or EMS... the most expensive way... I have sent a few boxes by surface now, with insurance and had no problems

im.out.of.hear - 2009-10-21 17:49

Hi Rom,yes i calculated air mail..i could'nt pick surface,takes about 2 months to recieve..
the last box i got was a GF909 from hongkong a few years ago,the shipping was $75 surface,it took 2 and a half months to get here, arrived smashed..so i always said i would never choose that method again..airmail only for me now mate..
