Victor PC-5 in genuine Victor Alloy Hard Case

rom.selecta - 2009-07-18 09:21

I have cleaned it up a bit and it needs a new belt in the cassette deck and the speakers need new foam. Aside from that, as far as I can tell, everything works.

The cassette plays for a few seconds and then stops but the sound is clear when its playing. Tuner works and speakers work even with the foam rot.

The alloy hard case is fairly clean and no big dents or gouges. The inside has some stains thought - nothing that really stands out but you can see them - they may be cleanable with a steam cleaner. The front panel comes off and the original strap is still intact.

Pics can be seen here!

I am open to offers, the best offer gets it! However at this point I am not open to trades... I just filled the spare room with 20 BBX's and there are still more coming and the wife is getting sh!tty at me as I said this would be a 'paying' hobby, not another 'collection' LOL Leaving

surface mail is about $105 US (9900 yen) - its weight is about 19kg packed. This is thru Japan Post so if you can get a better deal via a freight forwarder in your neck of the woods, I would be happy to use that.

Woh,thats alot for shipping man,it was cheaper when i got my Sharp GF9500 from driptip in Ca-Usa,cost £50 air mail, got it in 5 days, and his packing was excellent i have to say..i still have the 9500,i kept the sheet with the shipping info..Woah,i got it in 2004,5 years ago..5 years has just gone..just like that,in the blink of an eye !

SOLD! To the man with an unhealthy appetite for PC-5's Laugh Out Loud Thanks Spud!

GMan - yeah shipping is a rip when you fly it using Japan Post. Sometimes I have found that the person I am sending stuff to can get a better deal at there end with a local freight forwarder/courier company.

Extreme Hard To Find !!!

71spud - 2009-10-13 07:21

UPDATE:

After almost exactly two months en-route it arrived just over a week ago! In great condition too. Looks better than the pictures, and I have not even cleaned it up yet. Alloy Hard Case AND the Victor branded PC-5! Can't beat that! Of course I knew it needed deck work and new surrounds on the speakers. But that is more common than not with the PC-5.

Big thanks to ROM Selecta!
