Aiwa TPR-950 and Fisher PH-460

masterblaster84 - 2009-07-25 19:12

Looking to thin the herd even more and don't really want to use ebay so here are a few more up for sale discounted over what I would ask on ebay.
Aiwa TPR-950: $125 plus shipping
Fisher PH-460: $40 plus shipping

Aiwa TPR-950 is in really nice shape and fully functional (including the tape deck) except for a few flaws as noted here. The top right of the aluminum face is not seated flush as you can see in the pics, looks like somebody may have tried to pry it a little at one time but it's not bad at all. Some scratches on the top of the radio but again very minor and the top left corner of the face has a tiny imperfection that's hardly noticeable, again I'm guessing someone may have tried to pry the face plate up but still hardly a flaw. The VU meter for the right looks like it reads slightly below the left but the sound coming out of both channels seems equal to me. The left antenna clip is partially broken however there is still just enough left that the antenna does clip into it. I'm being really honest and picky here but I want the new owner to be happy.

Fisher PH-460K is complete except for the last section on one antenna is completely missing, the second antenna is complete. Everything worked correctly last year when I put it in the closet however when I pulled it out and played it the tape deck is now playing at double speed. It's not perfect and does have a few scratches and smudges on the case but the face is in excellent shape.

He's a great guy. He uses accurate descriptions and has the patience to boot. Top notch seller with respect for others.

I have to say that all the people I have PM'd with or tried to make a deal with have shown nothing but respect for my Newby butt.

I've had alot of questions and everybody has taught me well enough to where I have avoided making some big buying mistakes. You guys know who I'm talking about, Vladi, Sin, Drip

I wish I could afforded the m-70 that Drip for sale on here but could not and he understood. That Box is really minty. But now I have something to save up for.

Thanks Big Grin

The TPR 950 is one of the best sounding mid-size boxes, Only thing I don't like about it is the switches feel kind of cheap, and the tuner dial cable feels like it's just a piece of string (and probably is).
