what is going on ?? ebay is going mad,in the years i've been on ebay,these have rarely fetched more than £50,this is just £300 too much..

i got one of these philips,i've had it since 1994,bought it off a friend..i do like it but it does`nt sound that great,and it sure is'nt worth £300+,not now,not ever in a thousand years,then again,over the whole 20 years i've been collecting,i've never paid £300 for any stereo,never will..i see this as a hobby,not an obsession..

I have in the past paid over this amount for my grail's just to have back then. Now I only buy with what ca$h I have in my pocket and no more! I have seen quite a few pass through my viewer, only to be NOT bought by me as the price is/was simply too high or more than a 'c' note - that's what she limit's me to now.

its a nice philips is that, one i wouldnt mind, but is it worth the best part of £350?
i say nay.just goes to show people take the mickey more times than none, and ebay is a complete rip off! like that hitachi 8600 on yet again for 350 quid!its now on a 27day auction!these are another nice machine but surely not worth that kind of coin?
i know there is a credit crunch on, and people need the money,but were all in the same boat, so hows anyone gonna afford that amount of doe?and its christmas for pity's sake!!!!!!!!!!!!

end of the day its just a good auction with lots of pics, any box will sell if you present it like that.

id bet my arse to elton john that someone bought it for its trendy/hiphop value over sound quality etc, hence stupid price

gee I hope that all seller's dont think this way so the price goes too high

I like it's looks but I dont like that is only has solenoid controls for the cassette deck - I prefer mechcanical pushbuttons type as they are easier to repair

The other better model philips is far better, bigger and must be louder yet don't sell for much

Hmmm.....ugly box in my opinion. Its only redeeming virtue is the LED's.
