Anyone interested in a MINT Sony CFD-5?

I stumbled upon it a few years ago at a local flea-market in as close to mint condition as I could imagine. Of course the cassette deck was non-functional so I very carefully took it apart (I am an electronics technician by trade) and replaced all the belts and made sure everything was put back together properly. It works like new. Records and plays great. CD player works great (even plays CD-R). No cracks anywhere, all the speaker wire tabs on the back are intact, no battery leakage..this thing is like new. I was debating keeping this or my prized JVC PC-V2..but honestly I think the JVC sounds better with its dedicated woofer. The SONY records far better due to its much better cassette deck...but I dont honestly ever use it and its just taking up space. If nobody is interested here then I guess I'll post it on Ebay.

I wanted to post a pic of it but havent figured out how to do it but yes....it is identical to the one in the pic. In the same kinda shape too which means no scratches, etc. Looks new.

Hey jeff, I have a JVC PC-V2 in use right now & I agree - the sound is something special.

Anyway, onto business my good friend, you just made yourself a sale (I hope Smile ). Please check your PM, thanks

...& I finally get the right power adaptor for it today, so I could test it out.
Ooh, it's lovely. I've blathered on about it a bit more here
