Hey Reli. I have one, not fo sale tho. BUT, I saw on my local craigslist, Pittsburgh, that there was a Sanyo stereo for sale and when I opened it up it was a Sanyo M9998. Now I have beeen texting this kid, I say kid because he is 16, and he said that he wanted me to make him an offer. Wasnt sure really what to offer but going to look at it probably Thursday. Cassette doesnt work and one tip of antenna is gone but otherwise looks to be fine shape. If you want to seea few pics go to Craigslist in Pittsburgh and look under electronics. Its listed under Sanyo stereo. Crazy thing about thi 9998 is the 16 year old says that when his parents bought the house a few months ago it was left there. He also said it was listed before and not one person replied, and I think cause it wanst under boombox or ghettoblaster I never saw it. Almost missed it today. Will keep you in touch if I buy it.

You know that's funny, I never bother checking UK ebay, because most of you blokes refuse to ship any bloody boxes to your brothers across the pond Laugh Out Loud Laugh Out Loud

lav.loo - 2010-07-27 14:09

Laugh Out Loud please exclude me here RELI Nod Yes as you know iv,e traded with DRIPTIP Nod Yes im sure you have some good friends here in the UK who would be willing to help you out Big Grin

reli - 2010-07-27 14:17

How much does shipping from UK to US cost, anyway? I have paid 60 EU to have a box shipped from Germany, so that should give you a sense of my willingness to pay. I don't understand why so many sellers say "sorry but shipping would be too expensive" Confused .......What difference does it make how much it costs, as long as the buyer is willing to pay?

lav.loo - 2010-07-27 14:22

ye i don,t understand the sellers saying shipping abroad would be too expensive Confused like you say it,s the buyer who pays, personally i think their being a bit like *******s Big Grin
ok it cost £52 to send my panny 5500 to DRIPTIP, who as you know resides in SUNNY CALIFORNIA, hope this helps a bit Wink

Hmm, so that is about $80 US.......Not good, but not too bad. Not much worse than getting it from Germany which would be about $60 for a box of that size.

lav.loo - 2010-07-27 15:38

you may be able to get shipment cheaper than i got it, depends which company is used i think, should be cheaper from UK than Germany to US i would of thought, anyway best of luck getting the the sanyo you want RELI Wink

lav.loo - 2010-08-21 17:18

Eek Cool

docs - 2010-08-22 02:35

I've bought boxes from Germany with average cost of 30 euros for shipping. From the US average would be around 100 dollars but of course depends on size. Just be aware of import duty from outside of Europe.
I'm with you on the part about not willing to ship over to here, it's nonsense.

Thanks for letting me know.......Unfortunately I already bought one a few weeks ago......So the only thing I "really" need is some mics for it, lol.

Whereabouts in the Bay do you live? I am near Walnut Creek. Are there any other collectors in our area? If so we should get together sometime.

davelc2 - 2010-09-27 20:21

I moved to Pleasanton from Concord a few months back. That's pretty close.

Dave

mellymelsr - 2010-09-28 21:51

...Antioch... Big Grin...we definitely should try a Bay Area get together while the weather is still nice...

reli - 2010-09-28 22:16
