Too cheap to buy a $.99 ac cord

l.lopez - 2010-08-10 20:57

Tap Toes Now when I saw this auction it really discusted me cause this ebayer cannot go to his local $.99 store and buy an ac cord to test the boombox Leaving . Now when I see auctions like these I stay away cause his description is more like a trap and a buyer being upset when he finds out it does not power up at all No No.

I never buy anything if it says untested.. as a lot of the time the seller probably knows damn well its broken...

Actually I don't mind those types of sellers, because if they say it hasn't been tested, the price won't go up very high, so it's a self-defeating prophecy.

What irritates me more are fellow collectors who don't reveal certain operational defects such as the balance being off-center, or that one of the tweeters doesn't work, or that "stereo wide" only works on one channel. As fellow collectors they should reveal their knowledge of such defects, but they would rather play ignorant. Roll Eyes

i see it as, you get what you paid for.
as it can be working or dead.

Yup, the seller is a fool to himself.

Anyone with half a brain will be assuming it's not working (maybe the seller is targeting those with less than ½ a brain - God knows there's plenty out there).
More likely is that the seller is too busy or lazy to check it out - he has over 100 items currently listed.

If the seller tested it & it worked, the price would likely be loads higher. That said, it sold for $349, so I'm sure he's happy...
