beautiful GF9191HB

redbenjoe - 2008-05-12 20:15

there have been lots of entries on prior posts as to which is the best looking box - ever --
and , of course, --nobody ever agrees --
but THIS black/chrome model is way up there Smile

everything works --
its not mint - has a few marks -but nothing to prevent it from looking spectacular-

the only bad news is that this one was so hard to find - that after an entire year of waiting -- it had to be imported from FAR AWAY Smile -so it cost some hundredS --
therefor - dont be shy about high offers !!

or - surprise me (again) ---and nobody offer Laugh Out Loud

add 40 for insured UPS ground double boxed -

the last picture is the only one thats not this box --it was bundled off baby boomer because the color shows the white woofs better --

please send me a PM during the next 3 days if you want it - thanks

Ira,

I've got the silver version in like condition and really like it but I hear you, sometimes you just got to let go. I've considered selling mine to make room for even better boxes.

Good luck and who ever gets it will be pleased I'm sure. If I had room for 2 9191's I'd be very tempted. Nod Yes

redbenjoe - 2008-05-13 14:57

I Agree
It's not how big you make it. It's how you make it big. Wink

True, the size of the driver doesn't directly correlate to the size of the bumping. Big Grin

oldskool69 - 2008-05-14 11:20

For safety's sake I'll back away from this thread slowly, but first...

GOOD LUCK IRA! I know somebody will be impressed with how "big" it's sound is. Laugh Out Loud

on the back-to-topic side ::

--our 8th most prominent member asked how the 9191 compares in size to the 8989 -
well does anyone have an 8989 to measure ? i dont.

but my 9090 is 19 1/2 by 9 1/2 by 4 1/2 and the 9191 seems alot bigger at :: 21 by 11 by 5 --

.......'hope that helps' Smile

vladi123456 - 2008-05-14 20:00

Here's the metric size of the GF-9191 for direct comparison.
Dimensions (W)x(H)x(D):516x271x115mm

So the 9191 is a little bit smaller than the 8989.

redbenjoe - 2008-05-15 08:41

WRONG --
the 8989 is bigger than the 9090 --

but smaller than the 9191.

IRA, please explain! Confused Those figures came from data sheets on the 8989 and 9191 and show the 8989 is larger than the 9191.

redbenjoe - 2008-05-15 09:03

MB --we are BOTH part wrong Smile

the 9191 = 516
the 8989 = 510

but the other 2 dimensions = favor the 8989

----anyhow --whoever buys this 9191 will be happy !!

True when comparing dimension for dimension but I was basing my conclusion on overall size or volume of the case. Depending on how you look at it you can make a case either way. Nod Yes

I also agree the buyer of the 9191 should be pleased. The quality of the 9191 is higher or so I'm guessing becuase I don't actually have an 8989.
