Asked ::::

Dear van6,
What is the Frequency Responce of the Cassette
player/recorder? this information should be in
the specifications page of the instructions ...
NOT the Frequency of the radio or the amplifier,
just the Cassette deck thanks . James

Replied with ::::::

Dear decentman4you,
James, yes it is specified as 80-10Khz with metal
tape & 80-8khz with normal tape, 46 db s/n ratio,
amazing for a micro-cassette!.

Very odd question to ask DM4Y.

This is a lovely item, if I wasn't financially crippled at the moment due to paying out the best part of £100k on a house conversion to a contractor who can't even spell the word 'summary', he's wrote 'sumery', it's right here in front of me, I'm reading his latest 'revised' costings. I tell you, these people make me soooooo cross. We have laws in the UK which pretty much mean that we have no choice but to get these so-called 'experts' in to do certain improvements i.e. loft conversions & wall removals etc otherwise I'd do it myself (I'm not too bad with this stuff).

My philosophy here is that you only have to look at the guys who do this stuff for a living to conclude that 'if this cocksmith can do this work, then so can I'.

Sorry guys, didn't mean to rant, just opening my post, but honestly, these folks are taking you all for a ride, they take your money & laugh at you, all the way to the nearest BMW dealership.

Sorry, where were we, yes, the CS-M1, beautiful...

Here's another one, what the hell does 'adishion' mean? This guy's taking the piss, where's the phone?

GRRRRRRRR!

...probably not much help to you Cris, but that's the funniest thing I've read in a little while Smile
I know of one family local to me who who just did the work (he's a painter & decorator & so knew people in the business who could advise, so he didn't do work that wouldn't be granted planning permission, etc.) & then did all the paperwork retrospectively. He had to pay some sort of fee for not doing things in the correct order, but it was tiny compared to getting people in to do the work...

Paul, it's incredible how they price this stuff up. I know plastering a ceiling is nasty work but £700 a room? I'll do it myself. £1000 to position two plug points & wire a ceiling light? I'll do that too thanks.

So, I'm now doing all the stuff i think I can do myself but the stuff I can't touch is just their way to make stuff up.

How are you btw?

I Dont think that this was a odd question to ask as I am interested in the PERFORMANCE of one of these as I dont have any specifications of one of these and this is the first on that I have seen that the seller actually had the instructions to .... so I asked as I am Specifically only Interested in the Cassette Portion of this item as in Some Instructions that you May have read in the past The Manufactor would only put info for the radio - no tape,,, or the amplifier - no tape or radio spec's, and finally none at all !!!

I guess it would be ODD , to ask of this ,,, if ,,, one already Know's this information ... ( and I do not know - therefore I ask ) but other than the the frequency responce of the heads of the cassette deck ,,, the only other significant info would be wow/flutter measurement of how accurate the tape transport is ....

other than that,,, this would be like buying a used car without looking under the hood, to see if it even has a engine :-)

This is what happens when 2 bidders put in super-bids at the last second, hoping to leap over everyone else. Putting in a really high bid at the last second is a gutsy move, and it usually works, but sometimes you get caught... like when another bidder does the same thing! I'll bet neither one of these snipers actually expected to pay that much. (And I'll bet s***e is thanking God right now that he didn't get it!)
