Here's a very chunky and thick box I've never seen before, very cool. Anybody have any info on the box?

Very clean, simple and straght forward. I'm digging it - with the help of its VU meters. I wish I understood all the specifics on it.

I Agree I'm digging it too, that's why I had to post it.

Jens the BBoxG (boombox guru), any info on this machine?

Yes, that's a nice box! Simple, elegant, yet beefy. I lived in Germany for most of the 80's but never heard of that brand. Unfortunately, there are not alot of technical specs listed in the auction, but here are some of the details the seller included:

On one of the antennas, the two top segments come out completely. (from the pics, its obviously the one on the right)

The stop button has a "slight problem" seller recommends using the FF button to stop the cassette. (at least that means the tape deck works)

No mention of wattage or whether or not the box will work on 110 volts.

It has separate bass and treble controls.

Woofers are 18cm in diameter (aprox. 7").

Battery compartment is clean.

Dimensions are 58 x 32 x 16 cm = aprox. 23" x 12.5" x 6.5"

Runs on 9 D-Cells.

DIN line-in. Seller will include the adapter cable for additional fee (doesn't say how much, though)

Seller mentions that it has been running well for a long time, but points out that older devices that have been unused for a while can develop contact issues in the switches (static) and that they typically disappear with use of contact spray. Seller says this unit does not generally have that problem, except for the balance knob.

Best of luck to whomever wins it. Its a proud looker!
