like boxes ?---stay tuned

redbenjoe - 2008-03-04 21:11

have decided that buying boxes is fun and using boxes is a blast -

but hoarding boxes is nowheresville -

am 'admitting' to at least 60 (plus) including doubles of several --
and 1/2 of them are now in an $$ expensive a/c storage place, too far away -

so, during the next few months i may post about 30 --many will be my very best , and then the good the bad and the ugly --

so , for a while -- forget ebay !

vladi123456 - 2008-03-04 21:22

Is Sanyo 920 on that list?
Have to keep up with my reputation of your best buyer Wink

panasonic.fan - 2008-03-04 21:23

We'll forget the Ebay prices too, right?

Smile

redbenjoe - 2008-03-04 21:35

vladi - i know you want one and WISH i had two-

PF --moderators are not excluded from making offers !

masterblaster84 - 2008-03-04 21:39

I know you have some nice boxes and a great reputation so you can count on me being in line. Big Grin

vladi123456 - 2008-03-04 21:44

Ya, I'm looking forward to finally seeing the *sacred* part of your collection - that was too good to even keep at home and had to be hidden in the storage far far away Wink

redbenjoe - 2008-03-04 21:49

well - if you guys are sick of being left out KABOOMLESS --
check out the first entry tonight!

vladi123456 - 2008-03-04 21:51

What does transmitter do? That comes with that kaboom?

redbenjoe - 2008-03-04 22:04

i dunno !!
never used one -- but its supposed to transmit from an ipod --
ask a hip member about this -

and btw vladi - YOU should get a kaboom - it will make up for all those other puny sounding boxes you bought Laugh Out Loud

vladi123456 - 2008-03-05 07:24

Ya, I've always liked Kabooms. If that transmitter is what I think it is - it's pretty amazing that it comes with a boombox - those transmitters cost about $40 by themselves - I was just researching it last night.
Maybe you should put in this thread a list of all boxes you're selling - so we would have an idea of what else to expect. But so far so good - nothing tempting Wink j/k

redbenjoe - 2008-03-05 07:55

hey gordie - if all the members agreed with us -
then we might see a FEW THOUSAND boxes on here today -- really

redbenjoe - 2008-03-05 08:09

vlad1 -- the list of 30 (PLUS) would be a good idea -- except i still dont know which to sell -
like even my ugly/broken ones are valuable and nice (to me-anyway)

have time for one funny story ?? good:

there is no place more boring than a public storage warehouse -- and mine is this gigantic square metal building --
but once in a while - when i go over there to 'exercize' my boxes --

i 'light-up' the place -- draw a little crowd and can actually see/hear some customers singing and dancing ---
if you guys dont want all these - i might have a yard sale right there Smile
__________________________

but -- back on topic --all thats for sure is todays offerings will me an M70, an aiwa 950 and a sanyo 9994 --- all un-mint

thanks for asking !

redbenjoe - 2008-03-05 17:14

well if we want to consider all the nice boxes that are just 'saved' or stored away or 'exercised' less than once per month --

then the combined total of HOARDED boxes by all s2g members combined might be 5,000 !!

its just my own opinion and new revelation --
but what a waste -- Frown

oldskool69 - 2008-03-05 20:54

Well you know I like to get as many pieces as I can get. Got any that are flexible and three or more times the fun to put together? (Not the broken UE boxes either!) Laugh Out Loud

redbenjoe - 2008-03-05 21:04

oldskool -- most of my UE boxes are perfect for you -- as several are in about 12 pieces --

i did post a C100 today - check it out -

and then we have a dozen or so of these useless black Sansui CP-7 things -- but who wants those !!

I agree! I Agree

I know everybody has the right to hoard and it's okay but I just don't get the excitement of it. Why would having 10 C-100F's, M90's or whatever be any better than having 1 or 2 nice examples?
Just my two cents and it probably isn't even worth two cents. Big Grin

redbenjoe - 2008-03-06 08:35

ok james --but you are 3rd in line for the 'give-away' boxes .

oldskool69 - 2008-03-06 12:11

Yo! James check the avatar...Sansui's are my realm. This ain't your block. Ira knows to roll wit the "Derrty Souf"! Laugh Out Loud You don't want a turf war with me...Laugh Out Loud Laugh Out Loud Laugh Out Loud

redbenjoe - 2008-03-06 12:39

oh - so you guys like 3 piece boxes !

ok -- then save up $$ for my next box post - coming soon --and for your exclusive preview :

is a real nice Panasonic RX-6400

in case you never had or heard about the overall sound/bass quality of these --

well in one word --its TREMENDOUS

i know of no 3 piece box that comes close-
as as for the big 1 piece boxes --

well it makes the c100f sound like a tiny piece of polystyrene crap --

and it even has a MUCH more solid base than a great M90 -

i dont have enough 3 piecers to know them all-
but it kills my Toshiba WX-1 --

anyway - i am lucky to have 2 6400s - so selling one this week -- for my 'objective' advice---

GET IT !!

redbenjoe - 2008-03-06 14:47

btw -- dont be shy about making offers for this one -- it may be a few days for the pictures -- but -- it looks real good with no bad cosmetic parts --OK?

redbenjoe - 2008-03-06 18:16

the Panny 6400 is now posted -- and 'operators are standing by' Smile
