Selling a lot of my boxes...

retro.addict - 2008-03-04 07:53

Hi, my collecting obsession has got out of hand recently, and I have more boxes than I can handle. The novelty of being totally surrounded by '80s boomboxes is starting to wear off and I now want rid of about half of my collection to give myself more space to move around. I'm keeping my best boxes (Hitachi TRK-8080/8200/8290/8600, Sharp GF-575/9000/777, Aiwa CS600, Philips D8534/D8634, Sony CF-495 etc) for obvious reasons, but all I want at this point is my best ones. Nearly everything else can go. All of the following boxes are in good physical condition and all work perfectly on all radio bands. A few though, have problems with tape mechanisms.

Up for your consideration are...

Sharp GF-7400 (great condition, fully working, although one speaker can be a bit tempramental, very clear treble sound)
Hitachi TRK-3D2 (great condition, fully working with original manual and sales reciept)
Hitachi TRK-3D8 (good condition, fully working)
Hitachi TRK-9100 (fair condition but has a bit of the case missing on one of the detachable speaker housings, fully working)
Sanyo M-W200 (fair condition, radio works perfectly but tapes don't work at all)
Sharp QT37 white version 3-piece (good condition, fully working)
Sharp WF-340 (black 80's 3-piece with small speakers, has graphic eq, great condition, fully working, great sound and bass, don't really want to let this one go)
Sharp GF-4646 (very good condition, fully working but tape runs very slow)
Sharp GF-5959 (good condition overall, radio works, tape seems to be stuck in auto stop, tuner window is cracked)
Toshiba RT-S782 (good condition, radio works, sounds good, tape works I think)
Saisho P929 (3-piece, good condition, radio works, tape works I think, great sound, but speaker connection on rear needs resoldering and headphone-type plug for speaker needs reconnecting to wire.)
Sanyo C3 (good condition, radio works, tape doesn't)
Pioneer SK-303 (great condition, fully working)

JVC RC-555 (fair condition, missing two toggle switch tips, fully working)

Sanyo M-X315 (great condition, radio works, tape works I think)

If anyone's interested in any of the above boxes, PM me and we can talk. All will go for a small price, but to save postage costs I would rather only post within the UK. I will take pictures for people who are really interested. Smile
