gee you gotta stop teasing me with all of this that I CANN NOT Buy because I dont speake this language and therefore an yadda ... Buy It ! and Ship It """"" all """"" that you find on Yahoo - Japan ... OK ? James

baby.boomer - 2008-02-22 05:34

I don't mind if you tease me with this stuff (though I understand James' frustration). I tease myself sometimes by pulling up Yahoo.jp and searching for electronic goodies. But my drool turns to tears whenever I remind myself that, even if I understood the language (which I don't), there are almost no sellers who ship internationally, and the only way to bid (and possibly win) is through a Japanese buying service, which charges a commission. I have GOT to find me a Japanese friend (who doesn't mind doing favors for a helpless American)! Wink

vladi123456 - 2008-02-22 06:00

Just curious, but why don't they ship internationally??

sikorsky - 2008-02-22 07:12

I never understood american in their laziness.
If you wanna buy thing form Yahho, why not? I wanted to do it. I have more obstacle in this, cos I live in post-USSR country. But I CAN TO BUY THIS. Every day I looking for nice boomboxes on that site. I fount online translators, which help me to understand what description of auction told me about. Also, I found an intemediary, who help me to buy bbx from Yahoo.
TO JAMES: Man, I to hold in high respect you that you are even some older then me (I see it on photos), but I don't understand you, really. If you want cool boomboxes, why you don't want to enlarge your look to other sites, more then eBay and s2g. I got 8 boomboxes from Yahoo. my last bbx is:
http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k49796872
I HAVE MY HEAD FOR NOT ONLY EAT TO THERE. It is in 10 (!) times cheaper then vladi got tha same one. Anyway, if this site (s2g) ONLY for using eBay and s2g members, who sell their bbx - let me know, I'll stop to post my messages about Yahoo.jp. If NOT - remember, James, this place not only for you, ok? So, good luck in your searches of nice bbx.
To vladi: as I know, japanese sellers can't sell to overseas directly according to thir law.
TO ALL GUYS FROM STEREO2GO:
PEOPLE, I'M THE SAME. I LOVE THE SAME JUNK LIKE YOU, I KNOW THAT IS TROUBLE OF MY LIFE, BUT I LIVE IN IT. MY WIFE TRYING TO UNDERSTAND ME, SHE WANT TO HELP ME TO LIVE EASY, TO DECREASE MY DEPENDENSE FROM BBXs, I KNOW MOST OF YOU WILL UNDERSTAND ME WHAT IS IT. ANYWAY GOODLUCK TO EVERYONE. EZ

I'm sorry for my stock phrase, I have a lot of americans as good friends. D4M phrase has enraged me. Don't want to talk about him at all.
I know about Babelfish etc. My opinion, Babelfish is mostly true online translator from Japanese to English. I know about syntaxes etc - my wife learning japanese. My Japanese buying is a service for russian buyers only. And my intermediary do a lot for me, much more then only service. For example, I got damaged bbx from Japan. They send a reclamation to Japanese EMS today. They really honest. I got 10 bbx from them for today. I got them so cheaper as I can. I know, that Yahoo is a mistery place for bbx lovers and I'm happy that I can buy from there. Also, I know, that even half year ago I could bought there bbx so cheap as it was possible. For example, Sharp GF-909 was possible to buy even for $9. And it is true. Now there are a lot of reselers, their nick are: japanlot**, povmediajp, pittpitt***jp, jf7cjm etc. Our cool BEATFUNKY got his VZ-V2 from pittpitt and resold it at eBay in 10 times expensive. I'm happy, that I got list of bbx I wanted (not completed, but almost).
Walkgirl, thnx for support Smile
Regards, Michael

Two Japanese buying services I have found helpful for buying Japanese goods are:
FromJapan
Ooh!Japan

I haven't used these sites for bidding on Yahoo.jp auctions, but, if they're as good at bidding as they are at direct buying, then I'd highly recommend them!

Vladi is rulez! Smile
Vladi, if you want to buy something from Yahoo - let me know. I'll try to do it for you like for me. Michael

Laugh Out LoudThat's funny, I was thinking the same thing but what the heck, tease me.

I like to know what's going on even if it's only a picture because I sure can't read those auctions. Smile

From Japan charges...
1. A per cent of the final bid (percentage varies, depending on final bid; the larger the bid, the smaller the percentage)
2. $10 mailing from the seller to FromJapan
3. $5 for the bank-transfer payment to seller
4. Plus a 5% (of the total of the previous 3 charges) "transaction fee."

Then... there's the cost of sending the package from FromJapan to you... plus an extra 5%.

Not cheap, when you add it all up. Frown Sikorksy, I bet your "intermediary" is cheaper!

sikorsky - 2008-02-22 10:32

WHOAH! Of course!..
