Are those the original speakers

bill - just from memory -when i did have an 8080 -they do look original --
its a very unique, subtle and cool design

I just got an 8080 and the speakers dont have the chrome caps

bill - here is an 8080 from the BBDB --looks like chrome caps --but , still , hitachi may have made different speaker versions

This is true, I know I also seen pictures on stereo 80's without the chrome caps
