Telefunken Hifi Studio 1

hifitom - 2009-04-01 06:51

Hello

For exchange/sale - nice example, no missing parts (= incl. battery cover, cover for the speaker cable, ...), great sounding.

I got a few M1's, but no one looks that good. No damages or marks (a few scratches at the back of the speakers, at the holes for the wall mounts). Front of the speakers like new.

Radio, Amp ok. Tape plays, rewinds, fforward, but no sound. Right lamp from the tape VU's not working. No reception at LW, AM, SW - UKW is fine. UKW up to 104 mhz - got a 110 + 220 Voltage.

Shipping:
Germany - 9,90 Euro
Europe - 29,90 Euro
USA - 68,00 Euro

Make me a offer.

Best wishes
TOM

I can also say that these Telefunkens are loud at the 2009 Sunshine meet the only one that came close was the M-90. Nod Yes

how much is this to buy ? thank you

jt - 2009-04-03 21:24

The "no sound" from the working tapedeck issue, plus the radio problems (no SW or MW) indicate that this box needs some repair by a tech. Plus, it only goes to 104 on FM, so in the USA it will miss quite a few channels that exist between 104 & 108.

Then, factor in the high cost of shipping... and it loses its appeal.

My guess is that nobody wants to insult you with a low bid on what is basically a beautiful looking project box! Because it has these problems, this is usually the kind of box you can obtain for a very good price... Especially in Germany.

Anyway, why don't you just tell us what you are looking to get for it? If the price if fair, it will sell fast. Otherwise, you might as well put it on eBay and let the market decide the price for you.

Good Luck!!!

hifitom - 2009-04-03 23:45

I would prefer a exchange ...

Best wishes TOM

- 2009-04-06 20:45

hifitom - 2009-04-06 22:21

No, very bad, because you didn't read my words - as I wrote:

Make ME a offer ... + I would prefer a exchange ...

- 2009-04-07 02:34

wow that was fast Nod Yes

- 2009-04-07 18:03

He is working a possible trade with someone else and thinks $200 + ship is not enough. I will continue my search. Thanks for the help. I will keep looking.

transamguy1977 - 2009-04-07 18:22

He is right 200.00 is not enough Nod Yes Laugh Out Loud Nod Yes

panasonic.fan - 2009-04-07 20:16

Probably because he sees people getting $1000+ for the same model without these "minor" issues.

If the issues can be fixed, $200 would be a steal. Is there a service manual available for the 1/1M? If not, it's kind of an expensive door stop.....

hifitom - 2009-04-07 23:31

As I wrote, I got a few Telefunken Hifi Studios, but no one looks as good as this one.

The front is very clean, without any scratches or dents - and I can tell you that is very rare. To fix the technical side should be no problem, but to find such a clean nice looking one is a problem, for shure!

It depents on what you are looking for - I already sold Telefunken Hifi M's for 30 Euros, but don't ask like the front has looked like ...

By the way: I didn't like how this conversation started - "... no answer. very good.", not my style to talk to people I don't know ...

... and once again: I prefer EXCHANGES !!!

Best wishes
TOM

I am not american or german so excuse how I talked. If you were offended, maybe you have the issue ? I meant no harm but you got on the defense for some reasoning. I wish you a good day. That I mean, have a nice day. When you said make offer, I thought you were accepting offers. No reason to make fun of my offer anyone. I am sorry I spoke out of line. This you should understand.

fatdog - 2009-04-09 07:10

Sugarhill, don't worry about it. Just let that water roll under the bridge. There are other boomboxes out there. Wink

so true.
this whole "make me an offer" thingy - sucks, i doubt seller doesn't know what money he wants to get, he just wants you to name bigger price.

panasonic.fan - 2009-04-09 08:30

Well, if folks are getting $500-700 these days for M90's with similar issues, I don't think that rejecting a $200 offer is completely out of line.

Tom and Sugarhill both seem like good folk, I'm sure it's just something in translation taken the wrong way. Don't worry about it guys.

Does anyone have a service manual for one of these?

hifitom - 2009-04-10 04:33

To sugarhill dawson:
I'm also sorry about this - my english is far away from perfect, and I don't understand all the things. Next time I gonne use a translater. I don't wanted to make you mad about me ...

To Panasonic Fan:
I just got a Owners Manual. If this would help you please PM me for your adress ...

Best wishes
TOM
