another transient M90 auction

Just for a change Roll Eyes

Did anyone see eBayer "herstuffhisstuff" selling an M90 a few days ago? BIN for US$1200 with apparant deck issues & a challenging auction description, in terms of grammar.
It got offers but didn't sell & then another listing saying the deck was OK & how they'd nearly "given it away"... BIN now at US$1500.
Now the auction has gone & the seller is no longer a registered user on eBay.

Can anyone shed any light?

I ve bought that conion c100ff from him/her for 170 USD but i think i shouldnt pay that thing. Frown

I almost bid on that Conion myself. But it did not have the tape deck door so I passed on it.

Lets just hope that it is a temporary suspension for any one of a number of reasons.

I wouldn't trust that M90 as being worth anywhere near $1500. Looks like another $600-$800 project box to me...

Since when were "project M90's" worth more than $400?

Just another sign of how ridiculous pricing on the 'Pay has become..... Roll Eyes

Not a knock on you Spud..... these boombox prices are just getting stupidly overinflated, kind of like the housing market in the US up until a few years ago. We can only hope for a "market correction" in this case too.

I didn't mean to say that the $600-$800 "project boxes" were worth that much.... I meant to say that for $600-$800 what you end up with is a "project box"

I second that opinion.
I know I put my hand pretty deep in my pocket for my M90 (it was my dream turnip), but it came from a trusted s2g member & had been serviced & re-belted by Frank (FYJ2972)...

I Agree
6 to 8 seems to be the going rate for a decent one -- the last ebay sale that was way above decent was above 1200
------------------

also agree with PF --that this whole set of $$prices are too high.
but thats the way is is, now.

isolator42 - 2008-12-01 14:51

...& it's back on sale, $1100 BIN.

Still more tha I paid for mine - loads if you consider how the exchange rate has changed...
