GF-9191 crap box for sale

THE GOOD:
Cosmetically good, except for the scuffs at each front corner (the one in the picture is the worst one, it is NOT a crack, and trust me you can't see it from a distance).
The radio works fine, no static.
VU meters and lights work.
Antennas original.
No stains on the speakers.

THE BAD:
On "mono" it works perfect, but on "stereo wide" the right volume slider needs to be set 10-20% higher than the left. And on "stereo" the right channel is EXTREMELY weak, so I never use it. I just leave it on stereo wide.

There is some sort of power surge when the unit is shut down. The meters jump and you get a "warp" type of sound through the speakers.

It also does this when you press RW, FF, or Play, and no music comes from the tape, so even though the motor runs and the wheels turn I'm gonna have to call it a dead deck.

Oh yeah, the battery posts are corroded.

I'll take $80 plus shipping. Otherwise I'll part it out and no doubt get more.

It's phono, not line in, and I don't have a phono-line in converter so I haven't tested it.

It definitley has alot of potential. It's complete too. Cool Are those Line In plugs in front for MP3s/ iPod hookups? Or are those the Phono only?

Hi-I have the exact same problem with my GF-9191X.
I did manage to ge the tape deck to work but I do have the same output problem-exactly!!
I think it's a channel that;s bad or something?
Let me know who buys it and let me know how to fix it? Roll Eyes
I like mine-it's in really good condition,if I can just fix that channel issue.
Good-luck-GB. Smile

Do a search for a post from a guy named FYJ2972, he showed how he fixed it. There was something on the circuit board he fixed.
